They are mini, but they are MIGHTY! They are also Masters, so that helps, too.

Another new MOTU line, you say? Why yes, yes it is. It is really something that it is 2026 and there are multiple Masters of the Universe lines going and a MOVIE coming in a few months. What a time, right? Well, those MOTU lines are a variety of shapes and scales, and everything from Origins, to Chronicles, to the Vintage Collection and beyond offers something for (seemingly) everyone.

Well, now the smaller scale (about 2.5 – 3 inches) gets a new line in these Mighty Masters. We saw these show up internationally a few weeks ago, and now they are shipping to Walmart in the States to coincide with the Collector Con. And you know what? These are pretty GREAT. I was originally getting these for the novelty of it, and under $5.00, why not? But maaaaaaan, I really like these!

This first series features He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Skeletor, and Beastman, which makes sense, and each figure captures the personality and iconography of the character really well. These are not super-articulated, but they do have more movement than I expected, and each figure has a fun and very “MOTU-esque” action feature. He-Man and Skeletor feature a spring twist waist, and MaA and Beastman have spring action in their right arms. Since each one has a weapon, too – it works out well.

To me though, the best part of this line is that it has sneaky good sculpting. These were not watered down because they are small and inexpensive. The portraits are really great and recall the original vintage figures quite well. Sure, MaA has his mustache, but other than that, these feel very vintage to me, and that works very well for them. Like I said, I wasn’t expecting to love these as much as I do, but man, these are really fun.

So yeah, be on the lookout for these. They are fun, and the price is right, so you can at least take a flyer on your favorite character. Now I am hoping for at least one more series so we can finish off the 8-Back (c’mon, Mer-Man!), but I would take anyone in this line. If you are in the States, be haunting those Walmarts.
