Idle Turtles eat the devil’s pizza… or something like that. The point it, what good are having Ninja Turtles without giving them someone to fight? Well, the deck is, once again, about to be stacked against those Turtle boys. Foot Bots ahoy!

Yesterday, I covered off on the another new villain with Tiger Claw, but now we have the opportunity to unleash wave after wave of mechanical ninja Foot fodder up Don, Mike, Leo, and Raph. Like a lot of characters in this version, there are a lot of call backs to the classic designs, even all the way to the Foot NINJAS, but plenty of new details, too.

This army-builder back contains two identical figures, but that makes sense as the Foot Bots are mass-produced for quantity, but there are so many swappable parts and weapons that you can load these guys out into very unique looks. The four-armed form gives lots of space for the many different hands, but also the long and short swords. There is also a mace and blade that attaches directly to (any of) the arms. There are multiples of each piece, so you can specialize these, or have them berserker style and go into battle with all of them.

The articulation is pretty good on this figure, though not as strong as with the Turtles or Shredder. You can get good movement, but some of it is a little stiff, particularly in the arms. I will say, these figures have good stability and balance, and that is made more impressive by the thin limbs. So, battle scenes abound, even if these are likely to be robots to the slaughter.

This is a fun set with a lot of cool swappable parts. So, if you are a 2012 fan, it will be a requirement. 1, 2, 3, 4, or more are probably a requirements, so go haunt those Targets now!
