They are immortal! They are champions! They are here to join your modern 5.5″ action figure collection with the muscle and power you remember – but made better!

There are some characters and archetypes that just lend themselves to making great action figures. Boss Fight Studio has corralled a full assortment of characters that do just that, man, what strong first assortment for their new Immortal Champions line. Conan the Barbarian, Red Sonja, and a couple of thicc boi skeleton warriors are here to battle each other and all comers. Yes, these fit right in with any other lines of recent Origin, so they can stand on their own, and with a wide array of friends and foes.

The 5.5″ muscle man format is how I came into action figures. MOTU was my first real collection, and it is has been an important part of my hobby ever since. So, having a line of figures that expands on the classic notes with the modern sensibilities is a great thing. With these new figures from BFS, they will feel familiar (in a good way) right from the start, but there are definitely some things that these do better than other figures of similar format.

These are tough, chunky figures – even the skeletons. I know it is silly to describe a skeleton as chunky, but that is exactly what these are, and friends, I am gonna need a TON of these. Any fantasy line at this scale can benefit from having a handful of these within it. Plus, with the sword, shield, and helmet, you can mix and match well for a lot of variety. These are just as much at home fighting each other as they are fighting He-Man. The translucent version is a fun color way, and having a few spectral skeletons to bring more fear is a great thing.

Conan and Red Sonja are true icons, and there is no shortage of action figures for these two. That said, this format really fits them. Conan is a muscle-bound barbarian, and that is what this style was made for. Red Sonja can stand toe to toe with the best of them, and this format allows her design to really flourish and not be diminished by a smaller frame. The designs of these two are instantly recognizable and are most certainly the most iconic for both of them.

What really sets these apart from other is the articulation engineering and durability. All of them, from the beefy Conan to the less beefy Skeletons have good articulation schemes with GREAT range of movement. All of the joints are smooth, but strong – and allow for most any fantasy posing you could ask for. I love how they can all hold their swords with both hands, and the hips, shoulders, elbows, and ankles are standouts for the range. These are just really solid, quality toys and they are, first and foremost, FUN.

These are currently up for preorder at Boss Fight Shop, and they will be arriving soon. If Origins or other muscle formats are your bag, you will not want to miss these. Or, if you are fan of fun toys, these absolutely qualify, so get them while you can.
